PRAYER TO THE SACRED HEAD
of Our Blessed Lord, as the Seat of Divine Wisdom

O Wisdom of the Sacred Head guide me in all my ways.
O Love of The Sacred Heart, consume me with Thy fire.
O Seat of Divine Wisdom, and guiding Power, which governs all the motions and love of the Sacred Heart, may all minds know Thee all hearts love Thee and all tongues praise Thee, now and for evermore.

O WILL, which was always in meek subjection to Thy Heavenly Father’s, control me in all things, as Thou didst govern all the affections and motions of the Sacred Heart of the God made Man.

ASPIRATIONS TO THE SACRED HEAD OF OUR BLESSED LORD

My Lord and my God, humbly prostrate before Thee, I adore Thy Sacred Head as the Seat of Divine Wisdom, the Shrine of the Powers of Thy Most Holy Soul and Intellectual Faculties, and the centre of the Five Senses of Thine adorable Body.

When I gaze into the depths of this fathomless abyss of Goodness, Power and Wisdom, which has contrived and instituted such unheard of ways and means of proving Thine infinite Love, and lavishing Thy choicest gifts upon me, Thy poor child, I am lost in astonishment and admiration.

O Light of lights, in whose glorious rays I see fresh mines of Wealth in the Sacred Heart; O Sun of Justice, in whose intense heat I feel the burning Love that consumes the Sacred Heart.

Oh! By the shining light of Thine Eyes, teach me to see Thee in all things; and by Thine Ears, which are ever open to the prayers of the needy, grant that I may ever hear the voice of Thy Church, and listen to Thy holy inspirations. Oh, give me always a love and a relish for what is right and just. Let me taste how sweet Thou art. Let me drawn by the odour of Thy Virtues, and feel forever the intense joy of seeing, loving, praising, blessing and glorifying Thee for all eternity.

O Flood of Light! Mine of Wealth! Ocean of Goodness! Sea of Mercy! Fountain of Living Waters! Fire of Love! Source of all Good! To Thee I consecrate myself with that I am or have.

O Sacred Head, Seat of Divine Wisdom, Tabernacle of God with man; in Thee I behold at once a celestial and terrestrial Paradise, a new Heaven, and a new Earth; the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven prepared and adorned as a bride glowing with light and glory, in whose sparkling crystals I behold all the attributes of the Godhead reflected as a sea of glass.

O Rainbow of peace! O Burning Bush! O Peerless Pearl! Storehouse of the Treasures of God! O Lamp, ever burning! Brightness unfading! Sun for ever shining! O Tree of Life! Life and Light of those who are Thine! O Seal of the Elect.

O Wisdom without beginning or end! Boundless knowledge! Love so great that we cannot understand it! To Thee I raise my prayer of love, reparation and thanksgiving from the centre of the Sacred Heart, where I safely hide; and I beg of Thee to accept, O my Jesus, all the treasures of this infinite mystery of love and riches, in atonement for my coldness, misery, and poverty.

O Jesus, my beloved Jesus. I love Thee far more than I can tell; Jesus, my Spouse, and my treasure, I grieve that Thou art so little known and so much offended. Jesus, my Life and my Light, may all minds know Thee, all hearts love Thee, and all tongues praise Thee, now and for ever more. Amen.

Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! O Seat of Divine Wisdom, have mercy on me, O Sacred Head and loving Heart, guide me with Thy Light, and consume me with Thy fire. Amen.

O Mary and Joseph, all ye choirs of angels and gleaming rows of saints, raise now your minds, hearts and hands to the adorable Trinity and beg of the Holy of Holies to look on those warm red drops of priceless worth, the Precious blood of Jesus which have obeyed the order of His Divine Wisdom and Love He has shown towards His creatures to arise and spread this light over the whole face of the earth.

I wish the first Friday after the feast of My Sacred Heart to be set apart as a festive day in honour of My Sacred Head as the Seat of Divine Wisdom, and that public adoration be offered to Me for all the outrages and sins which are continually being committed against Me.” “It should be dedicated as a festive day in its honour, and special reparation and atonement be then offered to Him. June 2, 1880

The Sacred Head was in a special manner the dwelling place of the Holy Ghost. Our Lord wished the great mystery of the Incarnation to be made very clear (or taught very carefully) to the children. Whitsuntide 1881

Our Lord impressed upon her – His Soul is not known, His Soul is not loved, and tells me not, by actual words. Juni 1883

Our Blessed Lord wishes His Sacred Head to receive special adoration. Aug. 17, 1882

Those who shall try by words or means to hinder or reject it, shall be as glass that is cast down, or as an egg that is thrown to the wall, that is that they shall be shattered and become as naught, and shall be dried up and wither as grass on the housetop. April 9, 1880

Even the devotion to the Sacred Heart is incomplete without this devotion to His Sacred Head. June 2, 1880

He would wish now to be crowned and acknowledged as the Wisdom of the Father, the true King of Kings. Juni 15, 1880

This morning at holy Mass when the Sacred Host was raised at the elevation, I saw as it were the whole court of heaven in prostrate adoration. May 27, 1880

Our dear Blessed Lord wishes His Sacred Head to be honoured as the “Shrine of the Powers of His Holy Soul’. Nov. 11, 1880

Around His Sacred Head shone a light of indescribable brilliancy and beauty: as it were a sun in which sparkled 12 magnificent crystal stones reflecting all the colours of the rainbow. May 23, 1880

“It will be the great devotion of the church in time to come. July 16, 1881

The crucifix is the Book of books and to me the Tree of Life and contains never ending volumes. June, 1880

It makes me tremble with terror at the dread punishments He has in store for all who shall hinder, or try to hinder the furtherance of this heavenly devotion, for their jaws He says shall be locked as were those of the lions in the den into which Daniel was cast, they shall be shattered and become as naught. The Sacred Head is the Shrine of the Powers of the Soul. The Head is also the Centre of all the senses of the body, and that this devotion is the completion, not only of the devotion of the Sacred Heart, but the crowning and perfection of all devotions; and he showed me how the adorable Trinity at His baptism revealed to the world this special devotion for His Sacred Humanity is the tabernacle of the thrice Holy Trinity; and that St. John has specially spoken of this devotion for the Most High revealed to him that he should be thus worshipped before the end of the world. April 9, 1880

CROWN OF THORNS PRAYER

DEAR LORD, I am grieved when I consider Thy sad condition when Thou wore the Crown of Thorns upon Thy hold Head. I desire to withdraw the thorns by offering to the Eternal Father the merits of Thy Wounds for the salvation of sinners. I wish to unite my actions to the merits of Thy Most Holy Crown, so that they may gain many merits, as Thou hast promised. Amen.

My dearest Agonising Jesus Christ, Son of the Most High, I fall prostrate at Your feet with all my nothingness. I recall all my grievous offences against You. I pray You Lord, have mercy on me. My sins kept You in agony over these thousands of years. Looking at You hanging alive on the Cross with a horrible crown of thorns, blood badly bathing Your face, and the spikes of the thorns piercing Your delicate Sacred Head, I feel sorry for my ungrateful gift of thorns to You. I wish to withdraw the crown of thorns and offer You a loving golden crown. (Kissing the crown and pressing it to her heart, she continued.)

My Jesus, Whose Sacred Head I lacerated with a crown of thorns – have mercy on me and forgive Your world.

My Jesus, Who is suffering mystically the pain and agony of my wicked crown of thorns in Your Sacred Heart – have mercy on me and forgive Your world.

My Jesus, Who suffers the ignominy of my wicked crown of thorns – have mercy on me and forgive Your world. (Pressing the thorns on her head, she kissed the feet of the Agonising Jesus Christ on the Cross and prayed.)

My Agonising Jesus, I remember how I beat Your Sacred Head with an iron rod to drive the spikes of the thorns into Your delicate brain. I feel its sound and pain like a thunderbolt disfiguring Your virginal being. Oh how callously my wickedness has suffered You, my gentle Saviour. When I consider Your terrible journey to Calvary, I weep bitterly for my wicked crown of thorns on Your Sacred Head, the seat of Divine Wisdom. I feel Your falling under the Cross, with the weight of the Cross helping the spikes penetrate deeper and deeper inside Your delicate brain. I see my very self dragging You up and beating You on Your Sacred Head with a spear. Oh would that I was not the one who did all these things to my loving Savior. I will fight for You.

My Jesus, I have treated You cruelly, forgive me, forgive me, forgive Your world. I will do all things possible to withdraw the thorns through my own way of life henceforth. My wickedness kept the crown of thorns on Your Sacred Head until your death to see that You did not draw any comfort from any part of Yourself. Lord have mercy on me, Christ have mercy on my wickedness.

I feel Your Sacred Head resting dead on the lap of Your Sorrowful Mother. There I see the united hands of John the Beloved, Mary Magdalene, and Your Sorrowful Mother removing my wicked crown of thorns from Your Sacred Head with loving tears. I wish I were one of them – withdrawing my wicked crown and offering a golden crown of my love for You. (Holding the crown of thorns and looking meditatively in silence, she finally prayed)

I offer You my very self and promise to carry my Cross after You all the days of my life with joy and love. Take the merits of my sufferings and persecutions, which I promise to accept with love in atonement for my sins and those of the whole world. Dearest Agonising Jesus Christ, with this poor offering, I wish to withdraw my wicked crown of thorns and offer You a golden crown. Receive from me a sincere love. This is my golden crown I am offering to You. Amen.

Eternal Father, I have offended You greatly for having lacerated the Sacred Head of Your only-begotten Son, the one Whom You love most. Have mercy on me. Forgive me and forgive Your world. Amen. 3 times

PROMISES

Anyone who shall assist in furthering this Devotion shall be blessed a 1,000 fold; but woe to him that shall reject or go against My Wish in this respect, for they shall be scattered in My Wrath and shall know their place no more. June 2, 1880

Our Lord would crown and clothe with a peculiar glory all those who further this devotion to the Sacred Head. He would clothe with glory before angels and men in the courts of heaven those who clothed Him in glory on earth and would crown them in everlasting bliss. Sept. 10, 1880

We render a great homage to the ever Blessed Trinity by adoring our dear blessed Lord’s Sacred Head as the ‘Seat of Divine Wisdom.’ Annunciation 1881

Untold blessings are promised to those who shall try to further our Lord’s wishes in spreading the devotion. June 2, 1880

The more we practice devotion to the Sacred Head the more we must see of the working of the Holy Spirit of God in the human soul, and the better we will know and Love the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. June 2, 1880

The devotion and love to His Sacred Heart should be bestowed a hundred fold upon those who practice devotion to the Seat of Divine Wisdom. May, 1883

Our blessed Lord said that all that He had promised to those who should worthily love and honour His Sacred Head should be poured out upon those who honoured it themselves or were the means of others doing so. Oh Sacred Head, may Thy Wisdom ever guide us, and the Sacred Tongue ever bless us and plead for Mercy and Pardon, and may we never hear the curse pronounced against those who shall hinder or despise this devotion. June 2, 1880

To them that honour Me, I will give of My Might and I will be their God and they shall be My children and I will place My Sign upon their foreheads and My Seal upon their lips. June 2, 1880

He gave me to understand that this Wisdom and Light was the seal that marked the number of His elect and they shall see His Face and His Name shall be on their foreheads. May 23, 1880

Our Lord gave her to understand that St. John referred to His Sacred Head of the Seat of Divine Wisdom in the last two Chapters of Revelations and with this mark were sealed the numbers of His elect. May 23, 1880
